Full of togetherness

This Friday morning felt especially meaningful as the youth of Gampong Blang and I took the time to organize a community service activity to clean up the youth sports area. The area, usually used for exercise and gathering, had recently become overgrown with undergrowth, making it look poorly maintained. In a spirit of togetherness, we agreed to clean it up so it could once again be a comfortable place for the community, especially the youth.

Since morning, the atmosphere was lively and energetic. Armed with simple tools like machetes, hoes, and sickles, we worked together to clear the overgrown undergrowth. We cut down weeds one by one, and gathered dry twigs, until the field gradually became open and clean. Afterward, we burned the remaining grass and dry leaves to prevent them from piling up. The smell of smoke mixed with the morning breeze seemed to be a tangible testament to our collaborative efforts in maintaining village facilities.

This activity wasn't just about work; it was also filled with laughter, creating a warm atmosphere. For added comfort, we also set up a simple tent for shelter. As the sun began to heat up, we gathered under this tent, enjoying each other's company, even if it was just plain water and some bread. But that's precisely where the beauty of togetherness lies. Although simple, everything felt special because it was done together with sincerity and a spirit of brotherhood.

This morning's community service wasn't just about clearing the field, but also demonstrated that togetherness and cooperation are the strength of a community, and that cooperation is the greatest strength in a community. With this spirit, I'm confident that our village will continue to be a harmonious, strong, and united community.
