today's work

Today's work involved completing a custom-made shelf for a customer who entrusted me with the work. The shelf was designed using 20x20 hollow cores as the main material, with additional reinforced concrete to strengthen the structure, ensuring a sturdy and durable finish. As usual, before starting work, I prepared the equipment I use daily in the welding process: a welding machine to hold the metal pieces, a hand grinder to smooth out sharp edges, a tape measure for precision measurements, and a paintbrush, which I will use to apply the finishing touches. All of this equipment is crucial for achieving optimal results and customer satisfaction.

The first step, of course, was taking measurements. I meticulously ensured each piece of metal met the required dimensions so that the shelves would look neat and balanced when assembled. After measuring, I cut the metal to size and then welded it together using a welding machine. The crackling sound of the welding flame became a constant soundtrack to my work. Slowly but surely, the shelf frame began to take shape according to my desired design. The joints were also reinforced to prevent wobbly parts from being used to store items.

Once the frame was complete, I used a hand grinder to smooth out the welds and rough edges of the metal. This ensured the shelf was safe to use and wouldn't injure my hands. The next step was painting, choosing a bright blue color, as requested by the customer. This color not only enhances the appearance of the shelf but also creates a clean and attractive impression. Using a paintbrush, I slowly covered each piece of metal evenly, ensuring a neat finish.

In the midst of my work, which is quite draining and demanding, I take a short break. Sitting at my regular cafe right next to my workplace is the perfect option. While enjoying a refreshing cup of cold coffee, I feel my energy returning. This small moment gives me renewed motivation to continue working until completion.

This work isn't just about fulfilling customer orders; it also brings me a sense of personal satisfaction. Watching shelves slowly take shape from scrap metal into something useful is priceless. Especially when customers are satisfied with the results, the day's hard work will be completely worth it.
