Cana, a secret gem of the Maremma: the (almost) unknown medieval village in Tuscany
Hello friends!!
Today, I wanted to tell you about a beautiful medieval village in Tuscany, a place that's probably little-known, but truly worth a visit. I'm talking about the village of Cana in the province of Grosseto, nestled in the beautiful Tuscan Maremma.
First of all, here's some info about this place. Maybe you're in the area and want to visit it. I explain it in detail in my video:

Cana's origins date back to the Middle Ages. You can see the fortress, which unfortunately has been partially destroyed, but you can visit the ruins completely free of charge.
There are several churches in the village worth visiting, one dating back to the 13th century, and inside there are always beautiful hidden gems and unique frescoes to admire.
In the center of the square, there's a cistern dating back to the Middle Ages. It was used to collect rainwater, as unfortunately there were no fountains in this area, but you know how important water is for survival.
This village is surrounded by woods, so it's also the ideal place for walks and to be in touch with nature—not just art, culture, and good food, but also plenty of nature.
Can you imagine having a wonderful experience here? Walking these cobblestone streets and stepping back in time?
I hope you can have this experience and visit this place. See you soon in the next post! Happy Sunday everyone!
