Fort Luserna a nice discovery!! - Luserna- Italy

Anyway, getting back to us, in this place I want to tell you a little about what I saw interesting in this little vacation period, I visited Fort Luserna which is one of the most important and imposing Austro-Hungarian fortifications that you told me about the Trentini plans. We are basically on the top of the field at about 1,500 409 meters just above the town of Luserna.
Basically this important fortification was built between 1908 and 1912 and served in a strategic way to control the Valdas and the territories practically eastern of the plateau, naturally it was part of another system of forts, which I would like to visit sooner or later.

STRUCTURE AND CHARACTERISTICS

The structure is very imposing, practically it is made from a single block of concrete and practically there are three floors above the ground, practically beyond this structure or rather from this structure started underground tunnels that connected two outposts always with the function of defense or observation.

I can say that in my opinion the view Here is very interesting especially for people who love history and also to reflect on the fact that war is a bad thing, and unfortunately even after many years it is still a very recent plague, but as you can see from my photos there are many thematic routes to combine with this experience that I recommend you do to get to Luserna I recommend you take the A22 Brenner motorway exit at Rovereto Nord and take the road to Folgaria then you will find signs for Luserna which is about 40 km from Trento while by bus there are connections from Trento, Rovereto and Levico Terme and it takes about an hour and a half spending the ticket price around €4 Unfortunately the closest train station is that of train Rovereto on the Brenner line and they are always 40 km from Luserna.
