From quarry to naturalistic lake!

I have been a bit absent in this period Also because I am resting a bit and I am dedicating myself to other projects, but I never forget to publish a post in this beautiful community.

Today I would like to share with you a place that I also discovered for the first time, a very naturalistic place, an artificial lake located in the province of Treviso in Italy between the municipalities of Spresiano and Villorba.

A place, or rather an artificial lake, where once there was a quarry that was used for the extraction of gravel to be used for the construction of the new highway that passes not so far from here and now it has become a very naturalistic place. In fact I can define it as a green oasis thanks to a project started back in 1975 by Remo Mosole.

Now it has become a beautiful lake, not swimmable, but there is a whole path around it that can be done both on foot and by bike of about 5 km with many stretches in the shade and therefore certainly on sunny days like in this period and hot, you can feel better and you know how much I care about always being in contact with nature.

For fauna and flora enthusiasts, there is also the possibility of being able to see aquatic animals up close but as you can see the photos Here there is a rich presence of both ducks and carp because thanks to the good quality of the water they have found let's say the right habitat to reproduce and this is very beautiful.

I recommend you park your car in the free parking of the Thai hotel and from there the walk starts that has also given to families with small children precisely because it is very easy to follow this path.
