Wonderful places on Lake Garda

You know well that one of my passions is to find hidden or little visited places let's say at a tourist level in Italy, but not only places linked to art or architecture, Or I don't know what kind of history, but also beautiful places from a naturalistic point of view, Also because they are places even more to be preserved For the new generations.

Today, in particular, I want to talk to you about the mountain In my opinion the most important and most iconic of the Gardesane Prealps, In fact from here you can have the opportunity to see beautiful views of Lake Garda, remember that it is the largest lake in Italy.

Monte Altissimo dinago with its 2070 meters of altitude certainly represents one of the highest mountains in the entire area near Lake Garda, In fact here you can see some photos that I took during my journey starting from the town of Brentonico, a fairly demanding walk I must say, which must definitely be done, not in summer when in these parts it will surely reach 30 degrees, but in this period of the year which is certainly cooler and certainly gives you the opportunity to tackle this path.

Let's say that this is not a route suitable for everyone, You have to be quite trained, it is also considered the natural balcony on Lake Garda precisely because you can see the part of the Val di Ledro up to the Brenta and Adamello Dolomites and this mountain is inserted within a natural park which is that of Monte Baldo and as you can already guess from the photos I shared here, It is a very important place from the point of view of floristic biodiversity Also because there are species that are only here and are not found anywhere else not only in the world but also in Italy.

On a historical level, in these parts I was able to find several remains of some Austrian trenches or fortifications dating back to the first world war because unfortunately this area passed the Austro-Hungarian front and there are still the remains of these works, which unfortunately are not valued from the museum point of view, also to be a reminder of these bad things that happened in these beautiful areas from a naturalistic point of view.

So in my opinion this is a destination that is certainly less touristy But that also gives you the opportunity to see this very beautiful place from a naturalistic point of view, but a piece of advice I can give you is to avoid winter because here there is snow and then there are various routes of the most challenging to the most technical and as I was telling you this is also a place suitable for families but nature ahead and history enthusiasts.
