“Crispy Fries at University Back Gate, Sargodha”
How are you all? I hope you are doing well. As soon as I saw this contest about sharing a favourite takeaway or street food outlet, I immediately thought of a fries stall near our university which I really love, so today I decided to share my review of it with you all.
This fries stall is located right at the back gate of our university. It has been here for many years and is very popular among students. Almost every student who comes out from the back gate loves to eat here. When I took admission in the university, I tried these fries for the very first time and I still remember how much I liked them from the beginning.
From that day till now, it has become a regular spot for me and my friends. Whenever we get free time, especially after lectures, we come here, sit together, and enjoy these fries.
The stall was earlier placed in the middle of the parking area in front of the bookshop (the one where we get all documents and forms related to the university), but when summer heat started, the uncle shifted it to one side of the bookshop near the cricket stadium and gymnasium.

Now the spot is even better, because not only students but also people who come to the stadium for matches or gym use also stop by and enjoy the fries.Talking about the fries, they are always made fresh. The potatoes used are of good quality and cut in a zigzag style,.
Not like the straight French fries we usually see, snd that makes them look very attractive. Uncle always fries them in fresh oil, not old reused oil, so the fries remain crispy and tasty. He also takes good care of cleanliness which makes me feel comfortable eating here.
The real magic of these fries is in the sauces and spices. He usually adds three sauces – mint chutney which is super refreshing, mayonnaise which gives a creamy texture, and ketchup for sweetness then he sprinkles masala on top.

The best part is that everything can be adjusted according to our taste. If someone likes spicy, uncle adds extra masala, if someone loves ketchup more, he puts that, and if mayonnaise is preferred, he makes it creamier. So, everyone gets fries exactly the way they want.
The fries are served in neat portable boxes. These boxes keep the fries hot for longer time and also make it easy for students to take them home. Many students, including me sometimes, buy extra to parcel for family at home. Uncle also gives small forks with the fries so that we can eat comfortably, especially when we are standing or walking.

The price of one plate of fries is 110 rupees one plate equals about 2.97 STEEM. I think this price is very reasonable considering the quality, taste, and freshness.
Uncle himself is also very cooperative and friendly. Even when there is a big rush of students, he never gets rude. He listens to each student’s choice carefully and makes fries the way they like. His polite behavior is one of the reasons why everyone loves coming here again and again.
For me, this stall is not only about fries but also about memories. Sitting with my friends, chatting, and enjoying these tasty fries has become a special part of my university life. That’s why I thought this is the perfect street food outlet to share in this contest.
