Hello Everyone !

So today I want to share with you my visit to New Sargodha City where a cultural exhibition was organized to celebrate Pakistan’s Independence Day on 14th August. The event took place near Barlab Canal, Khushab Road, Jhaal Jhakian, Sargodha.

Starting of the exhibition where Pakistani perfoxes are placed, honoring those who sacrificed their lives and made our country proud and independent.

As I entered, I saw big flex banners everywhere with pictures of those great people who struggled and sacrificed to give us this free country. These banners were a way of paying tribute to our national heroes. From the speakers, national anthems and patriotic songs were playing, which created a very lively and emotional atmosphere. Many little kids were dressed in army uniforms and green and white clothes, looking very excited.

Stall of little children’s items with socks, dresses, bangles in Pakistani colours. On the right side, a stall of Pakistani traditional dresses with different styles on hangers.

This exhibition was specially arranged for women and children only, no men were allowed. The entry was free, but those who wanted to set up their stalls had to pay charges. Inside, there were many stalls lined up. On one stall, there were bangles, small green and white socks, and children’s dresses.

On the left side, Pakistani traditional frocks displayed on hangers, while on the right side, little cute hair accessories like clips and scrunchies are placed.

Another stall was full of traditional ladies’ dresses, both stitched and unstitched, hanging beautifully on racks. One more stall had very pretty frocks for children, while another one had girls’ jewelry like clips, hair bands, and little accessories

Calligraphy and painting art stall with beautiful artworks in remembrance and love of Almighty, featuring Surahs and Aayats written in an artistic way.

The stall that impressed me the most was the art stall. A lady had displayed her handmade artwork and calligraphy. Most of her work was based on the love of Allah, Qur’anic verses, and Islamic prayers written in beautiful colors and designs.

Beautiful use of colours and art designs inspired by nature and love.

She also painted Kaaba and nature scenes with such perfect color combinations that I couldn’t stop looking at them. Many people were buying those paintings, and even though I am not a big art lover, I stayed there for quite some time because everything was so impressive.

Stall of traditional kitchen-use items like the traditional roti hot pot, and on the right side a stall of organic oil-free ubtan and herbal shampoo.

There were also some traditional household items on display like handmade baskets to keep bread warm. Another stall had herbal products like oils, ubtan, and shampoos, all made at home. The prices were mentioned too: oil for 500 PKR( Around 13 Steem ), ubtan for 300 PKR(Around 8 Steem ) , and shampoo for 1000 PKR(Around 26 Steem) A lot of women were checking and buying those products.

Little children showing their love for the country by wearing green and white dresses, Pakistani flags painted on their faces, flag masks, and blowing party poppers.

Everywhere around me, I could see children and women dressed in green and white, holding flags, wearing badges, and even having flag paints on their faces. The whole environment was filled with love for Pakistan. During the national anthem, everyone stood with respect, and the children enjoyed singing, dancing, and celebrating.

Food stalls with ice creams, samosas, chips, rolls and other snacks, all arranged by women.

There were also food stalls run by women, selling samosas, pakoras, patties, and even ice creams. Children and women were happily enjoying the food. Along with that, there were games like lotteries, target shooting, and swings for kids. The children were having so much fun, running, playing, and enjoying the festive mood.

Pakistani anthem and patriotic songs played while children enjoy the celebrations.

For me, this visit was a wonderful experience. It was not just about shopping and eating, but also about seeing the talent and creativity of so many women. Such exhibitions are very important because they give people a chance to showcase their hard work, culture, and hobbies, and also spread happiness and unity among others.

Swings and lottery games arranged for children’s enjoyment.

I really enjoyed being part of this celebration, and I hope more such festivals will be organized in the future, especially for women and children, so we can celebrate our independence with joy and pride.
