Hello Everyone !

So today, as part of Steem Atlas contest organized by @mohammadfaisal , I decided to share something special my recent visit to Saqafat Bakery and Café. It’s one of the most famous bakeries in Sargodha, and honestly, if you live here, you’ve probably heard of it or even tried it. They have several branches across the city, but the one I went to is right near my university, on University Road.

I visited this bakery as part of a small pre birthday celebration that my friends had planned for me. From the moment we reached, I loved the vibe. The front of the bakery looked very neat and modern, and I couldn’t resist taking a quick photo.

Inside the bakery – sweets and biscuits displayed on the left side

As we walked in, the counter was on the left side, and the first thing we saw was the sweets section. There were so many types of mithai rasgullay, barfi, gulab jamun, halwa, patisa you name it, they had it. Everything looked fresh and tempting.

Delicious and beautifully displayed cake collection

Right after that was the biscuit section. I was amazed to see such a huge variety suji biscuits, besan ones, chocolate flavored, almond, pistachio and yes, we tried a few and they were seriously good. Crisp, fresh, and full of flavor.

Right side display – pastries, sandwiches, breads, and patties

Then we moved on to the cakes and pastries section. There were so many options: strawberry, vanilla, red velvet, biscuit cake, and even Nutella cake. Most cakes were available in one-pound and two pound sizes.

Actually, my family often buys cakes from this bakery for birthdays and events, and just a few days ago, my brother also got one from here when we had a family celebration. Their cakes are always soft, rich, and fresh.

Cozy little café side with a cute and inviting setup

Apart from cakes, they also had a full section for breads, buns, and sandwiches. Then there was a lovely display of pastries, chocolate, strawberry, red velvet, vanilla, pineapple every flavor you can think of. They also had a cute range of cupcakes in different flavors.

Our table on the right side — set with ketchup, sauces, tissues, and the menu

After checking everything out, we went to the café side. It was a small area with just a couple of tables, but it was beautifully designed and had a cozy feel. We got lucky and found a table.

There were tissues and sauces already placed, and soon we asked for the menu. Honestly, the prices were on the higher side, but it makes sense because their quality is very good.

Menu of the café featuring a variety of delicious items

Since it was just a small celebration more like a gesture we only ordered one pastry. To be honest, we were already quite full because earlier we had been to another restaurant where we enjoyed pizza. This stop at Saqafat was just for this little pre birthday surprise. My friends asked the staff to write “Happy Birthday Huda” on the pastry, and they agreed writing “HBD Huda” instead.

Chocolate and coffee flavored top layer with a soft, creamy inside served beautifully with “HBD Huda” written on the plate

The pastry cost Rs. 200(around 5.14 Steem), the writing cost Rs. 270(around 7 Steem), and Rs. 33 (around 0.8 Steem) were added as service charges, making the total bill Rs. 503 (around 13 Steem ). But let me tell you the pastry was absolutely amazing. Soft, super fresh, and rich in flavor. I was full after just a few bites. Their sweets and desserts are quite heavy and satisfying, so you don’t really need much to feel content.

So overall, I had a great experience. This place is perfect for buying sweets, cakes, and baked goodies especially for any celebration. If you're ever in Sargodha, I would definitely recommend stopping by Saqafat Bakery and Café.

The branch I visited is right on University Road near the University of Sargodha. If you’re in the city or plan to visit, don’t miss the chance to try their sweets or grab a cup of tea and a pastry from this cozy little café. I’m sure you’ll enjoy it just as much as I did.
