I introduce to you San Fernando Rey Parish Church located at Poblacion, Liloan Cebu across the Municipal Plaza. This was built last 1847 by Father Vicente Dorocel and one of the oldest heritage structures that became a tourist attraction and a holy place that serves spiritual needs to the increasing population. One of the unique church that faces the mountains to the West.

Church Etiquette
- Decent Clothes: As with most Catholic churches in the Philippines, visitors should wear modest attire. Avoid shorts, sleeveless tops, and revealing clothing. Opt for pants or skirts that go below the knee and tops with sleeves.
- Observe Silence: San Fernando El Rey Parish is a place of worship. Maintain a respectful quiet inside, especially if a service is in progress or people are praying.
- No Flash Photography: If photography is allowed, disable your camera’s flash to avoid disturbing worshippers. Always check for posted signs or ask permission before taking photos, especially during Mass.
- Follow Local Customs: You may notice parishioners kneeling, making the sign of the cross, or other gestures. It’s respectful to stand quietly or sit if you’re unsure what to do.
- Participate Respectfully: You’re welcome to join services, but follow the congregation’s lead and avoid using your phone or talking during the ceremony.
- Footwear: Some churches may require you to remove hats or, rarely, shoes before entering certain areas.
Plenty Of trees sorrounded the Church | Plastic Waste Collection Bin |
The exterior is sorrounded with large trees and other plants that shades the area. There also benches in some areas where church visitors can sit. Visitors must also observe cleanliness by not throwing garbage anywhere. Overall the church is calm and relaxing.
