Yahaya Sabo Bus Terminal, Lafia - 1 local tip

in Traveling Steem17 hours ago

Yesterday, I went to the Yahaya Sabo Bus Terminal in Lafia, from Akwanga. It was a one-day journey, and in Lafia, the bus terminal is one of the biggest bus terminals in the whole of Lafia.

There are other bus stations, such as Victoria Travels and Nasarawa Public Transport Company, located within the bus terminal. The place is a very big place where travelers and returning travelers find their way to their destination.

If you are coming into Lafia for the first time via public transport, you will stop at the Yahaya bus terminal in Lafia. The above picture, which you are seeing, is the entrance of the bus terminal. There is always an entrance and exit unit to every bus terminal.

Exist Gate

As for this particular one, there are three, of which the first one is for the entrance, and the two pictures above are for the exit with legs and a motorcycle. The small one is for existing with a leg, whereas the big one on the right is for existing with a vehicle.

There are booking rooms, waybill delivery/collection units, security, and other offices in the bus station, which is the building that is shown above. Inside the building is empty as it is not yet functioning, and the reason might be because of the illegal activities going on in the bus station, where an unknown driver can drive in and pick up some passengers.

There are a lot of vehicles that are being parked in the bus terminal as several companies are operating inside the bus terminal. Some vehicles are traveling outside the state, some are for internal transportation, and some are for the nearby district. With this, the prices differ.

There is a vehicle from Lafia to Jos, Abuja, Markudi, Kaduna, Kano, and other places in Nigeria. As for the one that I entered, it was to Akwanga, where I paid ₦2,000, which is equivalent to 12 STEEM. Lafia to Akwanga is less than an hour journey, which is around 45 kilometres.

At the bus terminal, drivers usually pay gate fees when they are driving out of the terminal, and a ticket is issued to anyone who pays their gate fee, which costs ₦500, equivalent to 2.3 STEEM. The bus terminal is open every day from 8 am to 10 pm, and even after 10 pm, passengers can still come in.
