Comilla Cottage Industry and Trade Fair-2025

Today, I will share with you the story of my trip to the Comilla Cottage Industry and Trade Fair with my family. On weekends, I go to my hometown of Comilla from Dhaka to spend time with my family. A month-long cottage industry and trade fair is organised in Jangalia, half a kilometre from my house. In the afternoon, I go for a walk with my family. I am sharing my experience of the fair below through the Steem-atlas map in the contest of @mohammadfaisal, Bro of the Traveling Steem community.

Comilla Cottage Industry and Trade Fair-2025

I rented an autorickshaw from my house and left for the fair with my family. We reached the main gate of the fair within ten minutes. There was a huge crowd in front of the fair's main gate because today is a weekend in our country. I left my family members in one place and went to buy tickets. I stood in line at the ticket counter and bought three tickets. I purchased three tickets for myself, my wife and my daughter. Since my son is five, there was no need to purchase tickets.

We stood in line to enter the fair. My son was held in my hand, and my wife held my daughter in her hand because there was a huge crowd of people. We entered the fair and looked at the different types of shops. Since it was summer in our country, the weather was very hot. We looked at the shops one by one. Some shops have a gift system based on purchases. My wife buys local products for my son, daughter and home. The cottage industries made in our country are being sold the most at the fair.

We spend time shopping and go on various rides to entertain the kids. My son and daughter went on a few rides. However, an unexpected incident happened while going on a ride. My son is very young and is afraid of going on a ride. I quickly heard my son crying. I went on the ride and brought my son. Then, I let my son go on some easy rides. My daughter is a little brave and goes on a few rides.

Then we bought ice cream in the scorching heat. The price of ice cream inside the fair was high. I bought the ice cream that my son and daughter liked. Then we were divided into two groups and walked around the fair. I continued walking with my son, and my wife started shopping again with my daughter. I went with my son and stood before the artificial fountain because we felt good in the heat.

Then, we gathered in front of the fair's main gate, talking on mobile phones in the evening. There was a huge crowd at the fair, so we quickly left. While leaving the fair, we put our name and mobile number on a part of our ticket and left it in the designated box. Every night at 11:00 p.m., a lottery is held from the left part of the ticket, and prizes are given. Today, the first prize is a motorcycle, and the second is gold jewellery.

Then we rented an autorickshaw from the front of the fair and returned home. The crowd had increased since evening. It took us about an hour to get out of the traffic jam. By the time we got home, we were all exhausted from the heat. Still, my son and daughter were happy to have been to the fair.
