Padma T-Badh, Rajshahi

in Traveling Steem21 days ago (edited)

Hello Ladies & Gentlemen. Welcome to steem-atlas. Today I am here to take entries for this wonderful Pin & Win: Map Your World on Steem Atlas - Week 15 and Winners of Week 14 contest organized by @mohammadfaisal bro. So Thanks for organizing this wonderful contest. Rajshahi is a traditional and nature-rich city in the northwestern part of Bangladesh. The beauty and cultural heritage of this city on the banks of the Padma River has always been the center of attraction for tourists. The Rajshahi T-dam flows through the city, which is a wonderful meeting place for emotions, entertainment and natural peace for the locals.

That's why when you enter it, there is a huge signboard that says Bangladesh Water Development Board Rajshahi. Because all these places are managed by Bangladesh Water Development Board. There is a huge gate there which is open from six in the morning to ten at night. No specific ticket or money is required to enter here, it is absolutely free for everyone.

Main Entrance and exit gates

As soon as you enter the T-barn, you will see the neat entry and exit gates. The neat and tidy environment here impresses anyone at a glance. There is a separate parking space for tourist vehicles, which makes the place more neat and family-friendly. Many tourists come here from far and wide to enjoy the natural beauty, so an area has been made for parking their vehicles. No tokens or money are spent on parking vehicles. You just have to follow the rules and keep them in the serial.

After entering, you will see a narrow road. There are big trees on both sides of the road. If you want to find peace in the lap of nature, visit the Padma T-dam in Rajshahi. This is what the people of Rajshahi city or any travel enthusiast who has visited this dam once might say. This city in the northwestern part of Bangladesh has been carrying an extraordinary gift of nature for a long time.

Boat Area 🛶

If you look a little further from there and look to your right, there is a beautiful boat dock on the T-badh along the Padma River. If you want, you can also try to estimate the depth of the river by standing here. If you want to take a boat from there to go from one end of the river to the other, then of course you will have to pay the boat fare. If you want, you can rent the entire boat or you can rent a seat. The fare per seat on the boat is 100 taka or 0.8 USD.

When I was in front of the riverbank

Main Attraction area 🏜️

There is a huge tree on one side of the T-barn which provides soft shade to the pedestrians. The pieces of stone scattered across the river bank not only enhance the beauty but also provide an opportunity to sit and spend time. At some point, you might spend some time alone with nature by sitting on the stone. When I went, it was morning time so there were fewer people but there was a strong wind.

1000034723.jpg

It's a spot like the letter T.

The main feature of this dam is its T-shaped design. When viewed from above, this place looks like the English letter T. This is what makes the place different and fascinates the visitors. The experience of seeing the surrounding scenery from the main T-spot is indescribable. There is a clear path from which the view in front is wonderful, especially the waves of the Padma River. Sitting on the banks of the Padma.

The main location of this spot

A lamp under a cloudy sky

I was standing at the widest part of the T-dam. The vast expanse of the river opened up before my eyes, a vast picture as if the entire world were now a canvas of blue and gold. The waves of the Padma were like living beings. Sometimes calm, sometimes turbulent. The small waves hit the shore and then returned to their destination. For a while, I stood with my eyes closed, listening only to the sound of the waves. This place is enough to heal your sad mind.

Cloudy sky and deep river

You will see a staircase there that you can walk down to the very water of the Padma River. Thousands of stones have been placed here, which are divided into equal parts. The feeling of sitting on a high stone on the banks of the Padma is indescribable in one word. In the evening, hundreds of people sit on these stones and sing songs while looking at the sea water. I sat there during the day and took a few pictures.

Fragments of stones on the river bank

When I sit on the stone

These stones were placed so that the riverbanks would not be broken by the strong waves of the sea. For this reason, these stones were cut from a distance and placed here evenly, but people sit here and take pictures and video blog.

Standing at the end of the T-dam and trying to measure the depth of the Padma is like a journey of self-discovery. The stones were under our feet, the vast water was in front of our eyes, and I was standing in the middle. It was as if I was looking into the water and asking Do you know how deep you are?

So when you feel hungry after spending some time there, you can go up a little and see that there are various food stalls. A place becomes complete only when there is food and rest facilities. There is a riverside food stall at the T-embankment where you can enjoy light meals, tea, coffee, fuchka or local items. It is very easy to find a place to hang out with friends here. There is a shop there where drinks, fruits, fast food, chips, light meals etc. are available.

At the end of the afternoon, I will say that this trip was very interesting for me. Rajshahi's Padma T-dam is like a peaceful haven for the heart. The rhythm of the Padma waves, the moments spent sitting on the rocks and the feeling of the depth of the river all combine to become a haven for the soul. Here, time seems to stand still, nature speaks and people feel the silence within themselves. Such a place calls to return again and again to find yourself anew. Those of you who love the sea can visit this place at a low cost. I have added the location and all the details of this place below. Along with this, I added a video of that moment in the water of the Padma River.
