Nodalia Sea Beach, Barabkunda

Nodalia Beach is one of the most unique beaches in Chittagong. It is still not well-known to tourists of all levels because you have to go through a bit of trouble to enjoy its beauty. This beach is located in the Barabkunda coastal area, next to Bashbaria in Sitakunda Thana. It's open for everyone, and there are no specific time restrictions.

To enjoy the natural beauty of Nodalia Beach, you have to endure some hardship. However, the beauty you experience here will make the trouble seem insignificant. The problem is that there is no well-developed road to reach the beach. You have to travel along a rural path. Large vehicles cannot reach here directly from the highway. If you have a private car or motorcycle, it won't be as difficult.

As the saying goes, where there are fewer crowds, nature doesn't lose its form easily. Upon my first visit to Nodalia, I was captivated by its green fields, small canals, saline water plants with exposed roots, open green spaces, and various kinds of small green pits. As you walk toward the main beach, you will encounter many beautiful natural spots, each showcasing a unique kind of beauty. I'm sharing some photos below.

Since I live in a coastal area, I visit various beaches often. While many of them share similar features, I found something unique in Nodalia. First are the green areas with pits. The spot is such that some parts are green land, and some parts are like pits with shallow water. The pits and green areas are circular and pentagonal in shape. It’s hard to describe its beauty without seeing it with your own eyes, but this part truly sets Nodalia apart from other coastal areas.

let's move to the sandy area. When you reach the beach, this is the area right before the pits. There are a few trees on the sand, and their shade made the sand glitter. I walked on them barefoot. Honestly, it was a very hot day when I visited, but the sand felt cool to walk on. The combination of the shade of the trees, the cool sand, and the breeze coming from the sea created a wonderful feeling.

The area is so vast that you might get tired if you try to cross it on foot and might need to rest after a short walk. But that's not a problem, as there are shaded spots with trees at regular intervals. It's not like a forest of many trees all together; it's more like open green fields with just a single tree in the middle. The idea of sitting under the shade of that single tree and enjoying the view of the distant sea is an amazing experience, as you can see in my video.
