Today, I will share with you about Cox's Bazar Baitush Sharaf Eye Hospital. ‌We have two eye hospitals in Cox's Bazar. One is the Baitush Sharaf Eye Hospital. The other is the Pan Bazar Road Community Eye Hospital. However, Baitush Sharaf Eye Hospital is very big, and this hospital runs on foreign donations. ‌ There are many patients here; in most cases, people come from many places to get treatment here. This hospital is organized around several upazilas.

And the community eye hospital that is there is very good. This hospital is a little smaller in size compared to Baitush Sharaf. However, the community eye hospital is very effective for emergency treatment. Most of the time, I go to the community eye hospital for eye treatment. I like the services of the Community Eye Hospital. I first took Babu to the Community Eye Hospital. But he was not getting better there. So I went to Baitush Sharaf Eye Hospital to see an eye doctor. Babu's father also took him to the doctor.

The day I went, I was given a serial number. Because there are a lot of patients there, I had to make an appointment a day in advance to see the doctor. Our little Babu had problems with his eyes. His eyes would water, and dirt would get in his eyes. So first, he was shown to the Community Eye Hospital, but there was no improvement. Since there was no improvement, I went to Baitush Sharaf Hospital again. ‌I went to Baitush Sharaf Eye Hospital to see a doctor from Dhaka. But unfortunately, no doctor came from Dhaka that day. The hospital is very big.

There is a mosque around the Baitush Sharaf Eye Hospital. There is also a high school and a college. There is a Noorani Madrasa and a kindergarten. There is a Hefz Khana and many more. Everything is run here through foreign funds. Especially, all operations are done here, and the very poor are supported by operations through financial assistance. There is a very good service system for the elderly who have cataracts. Since the doctor did not come from Dhaka, we made preparations to see the local doctor there.

First in the morning, we took Babu to the hospital to see the doctor. We had a brother we knew through him, and we took two tickets. When we entered the doctor's room, we saw that there was a lot of traffic there. Because there were more patients and fewer doctors that day, we had to face a lot of problems.

Since patients come from different places, the problems of the patients are more diverse. But there are many other doctors; we showed them to Dr. Saiful Islam. First, we went to the second floor to see our brother we knew. Then we were sent to another room for examination.

After showing everything, we were allowed to go to the doctor's room. ‌First, we stood for a long time because our serial number did not come. After waiting for thirty minutes, our name was called, so we entered the doctor's chamber with Babu and Babu's father. Many patients were entered together. Later, after seeing the doctor, we left. Babu was given a normal drop and an exercise for his eyes. Everything is arranged inside the hospital. ‌

There is a drug store inside the hospital, where we went to buy the medicines. When we went to buy the medicines, there was a lot of trouble. We bought the medicines for Babu, but Babu's father was given another eye test. The test would take a long time, so I prepared to come home by taking a rickshaw. I went home with Babu, and Babu's father stayed there to do the eye tests. ‌In addition, he was given a pair of powerful glasses. Those glasses have to be made in the pharmacy there.

Cox's Bazar Baitu Road Eye Hospital is a very useful institution. Thousands of people come here every day to receive services, and many people return home after receiving services. Many people lost their vision, but thousands of people are now seeing with their eyes after receiving treatment from Baitush Sharaf Hospital.
