The beautiful almaty lake

In the first week of 2025, I got a chance to visit Almaty city of Kazakhstan, there I also got the privilege of visiting many picturesque places. One of these places is the big Almaty pictursque alpine lake which is famous for its tuquoise water.

The snow-covered mountains here are extremely beautiful and worth seeing. It is located about 45 kilometers away from Almaty city. To go there, we took a local taxi, and its fare was 8000 Tenge in the local currency and apart from this, we had to pay about 600 Tenge as toll tax (one way) at one place on the way, which was almost equal to [150 steem].

The day we were to reach there, suddenly there was a very heavy snowfall and we were stopped 3 kilometers before the main lake because the snow fell there and the roads were covered with ice, there was a possibility of vehicles slipping while reaching there. And the water of the lake had also frozen.

That is why we had to suppress our feelings and return after spending some time at a tourist restaurant and picnic spot there.
