UYO CITY MOTOR PARK : NEWEST IN THE STATE

Imagine a motor-park that's just a stone-throw away from your home, school or place of work.
The Uyo city motor park is just the perfect one for me.

Along the Ring- Road 3 , close to the Roundabout which leads to the stadium, Airport, Federal University of Uyo and Uyo Plaza is where the Motor park is located.

Before now, I'd been using the road to school for quite a number of years,and there was this piece of land that's just there, not used but fenced round.
Late last year , I started seeing some construction workers on the land. The bushes there were already cleared and work had already begun.
When the structures were erected, I thought they were building a mini market, Since there was non in that locality.

Last week after school holidays , I was back to to attend my Students Work Experience Program . On my way to school, I saw something captivating. This sign post;

Since I was late for school activities, I decided to just go to school first then when returning I branched there to have a look.

ABOUT

The UYO CITY MOTOR PARK is located at Mbiaobong-Etoi off Ring-road 3 by Oron road.
This access road was brought into existence under the chairmanship of Dr Uwemedimo Udo, and was commission by his Excellency Pastor Umo Basset Eno. Governor of AkwaIbom state on the 30th of June, 2025.

The park is easily accessible both by leg, wheelchairs, bikes and cars.
It also situated at the middle of two highly rated structure —Aiku luxury Hotel and Resort , Electrical Plaza.

Facilities

Security Post
At the entrance,by the right, there's a security Post there, and also at the back gate, there's another security Post.

Cafeteria/Restaurant

The cafeteria is also placed by the right. There , numerous kinds of intercontinental dishes are served. The cafeteria spaces are private owned but rent and task are being paid to the government.
Incase you want to travel early and you forgot to eat at home, you can always grab a late of warmly served Jellof rice.

Administrative Block
For tickets renewals, payment of tasks and other activities that keeps the park running. The admimistraive block takes care of that.
This Administrative block is divided into two . On for Inter-local government transit and the other for inter-state transit.

Car Wash
After the administrative block is the car wash, still by the right.
It is a small space for car washing managed by an individual.

Toilet
This one is really important😂, you don't need to panic whenever you're pressed, if you're at the Park, you can just rush into the convenience room to ease yourself .

Logistics Block
In the middle of the park, there this block for logistics, where people can send and receive packages from various parts of the state. They've not gotten to the national level but soon they will.

Mechanic Workshop

If you're facing the Logistics Block , by your left, the first terminal is the mechanic Workshop where bad vehicles are fixed.

Terminals

Terminal one
The terminal one is for the inter-LGA travel, From the terminal one, a person could board a taxi to anywhere the state. .
UYO to Abak
UYO to Ikotepkene
UYO to Oron
Etc.

Before now there were so many road-side parks along Oron road Akaroad , Nnung Udoe , Nwaniba, and also moving towards Airport road. But after the commissioning of the UYO CITY MOTOR PARK, all the road sid parks were brought into it.

Terminal Two
Thermal two is for Interstate travel. But not really that functional yet.
Since there's an already existing park , people prefer going to ITAM park which is also in Uyo to board vehicle. Most of them haven't heard about this one yet.
But with time,they would troop in.

UYO to Porthacort
Iyo to Anuja
UYO to Lagos.
UYO to Calabar
Etc

Sundays through Saturdays , 6am to 9pm.
