Travel tales #05: wrong destination point

Today I wanted to write for this contest that is running by @alexanderpeace , here is the link if you are also interested:
When it comes to travel I am nowadays very careful with choosing how should I travel. There are many little and some big reasons for that. In the past I loved travel with plane and to tell the truth before COVID the planes from “Ryanair” company were the cheapest one and they flew to any popular European destinations. One of my student colleague is from Malta and he told on one of the weekend that he travelled London to Malta only for £18 and that was return ticket.
Understandably after COVID the prices went up and they still remain higher than in the past. Many smaller airline companies were not able to survive during COVID, so they disappeared other shut down some of the destination areas for their airlines. That made it a bit difficult to travel.
I still remember when me and my friends decided to travel to Turkey in summer we had nice trip with plane and we really enjoyed our 7 days of being there with good warm day but also wonderful food.
The holiday went quickly and it was time to travel back. When we were in airport and it was “Ryanair” company there were couple of time rescheduled departure time and we had to stay in airport till very late, tired, hungry and very sleepy.
Finally, we were told that our plane is there and we were happy to get on board of plane and hope to have some sleep as flight was 3 hours.
Once, when were almost departing Bodrum, Turkey the captain announced that the plane is diverted to other airport Luton Airport that is in North to London about 30 miles away. Understandably, the company was ready to cover the travel to London for tickets for train or bus. We took train and after arrival spent another hour till we were at home. That was long and exhausting trip from nice holiday.

Yes, it is stressful time while being in teh middle of it but it is satisfying when everything is happily over :)
