Back with more food I made!
I have been very busy lately applying to jobs, and trying them out! Finally I've managed to find one I'm comfortable with and let's hope it lasts.
After not posting on steem for a while, I thought I would share a post about the bakes that I have been doing while away, as I didn't get to take pictures of the step by step, but they are ones I've done already on my account! There are some differences of course 😆

a large earl grey cake with buttercream
I made another earl grey cake, but I did it in a round tin (about 8-9 inches) and I made buttercream icing! This was for a friend who had tried it when I made it in a loaf tin, so I wanted to make it look a bit more 'aesthetic'.
Then, I decided to push myself and try make it even bigger! It was for an event so I really wanted it to be able to feed everyone going haha. I used the earl grey recipe I've used before, but I'll link it here in case this is the first time you're reading my post.
With this larger one, I used double the ingredients which made it hugeeee!

Bigger cake!!
As you can see, it's not perfect, I finished making it at about 11pm at night, so I was tired and the photo wasn't great. But I was very pleased with the flavour and how it came out! I used a more lemony buttercream for it, which did make it a bit too sweet for my taste but oh well.
I also made another of the sour cream cheesecakes I've done in the past, but this time I used chocolate digestives for the base instead of plain ones. I really liked this change, but I don't know what went wrong but my cake tin I used came loose and I had to scrape the batter off the (clean) surface I was working on! I managed to save it but it really put me down. I used the same recipe as I did before which I will link again.

I do think I overcooked it a bit compared to last time, but I'm not sure why the batter was more liquidy than when I did it before. Oh well!
Finally, I made another banana bread of a recipe that I've used before, I really love this one, it always comes out moist and lovely!

Anyways, hope you've enjoyed this post! A little summary of what I've been baking whilst off steem, I'm hoping to do more posts soon if work doesn't tire me out too much.
