The Delicious Spicy Anchor Eel Culinary Specialty of Tuban

Jangkar is the name of the stall owner. It's a savory, soft eel dish coated in a distinctive, spicy coconut milk sauce.

Besides rice, another way to enjoy this dish is with corn rice.

Famous for its distinctive taste, spicy eel enthusiasts come from all over the region.

This legendary culinary treat has been served since 1993. The stall requires 80 kg of eel daily to meet customer demand. The fresh eel is prepared with a variety of spices, including fresh chilies. The spiced eels are fried using a wood-fired stove.

To ensure the eels are perfectly seasoned, the frying process is repeated twice. This adds to the delicious spiciness of the spicy eel. Corn rice wrapped in banana leaves.

For just around 12,000 to 18,000 rupiah, you can enjoy the savory and spicy sensation of anchor eel combined with corn rice, ready to tantalize your taste buds.
