Steemit Challenge Season 27 Application 🎮 Let's Play OpenTTD 🚌🚂✈️🚢🚁
In the summer I did not have the opportunity to be either an organizer or a participant - but now autumn has come and I am gladly seeing the announcement of a new set.
I wanted to join the Steemit Challenge for a long time, I even passed the Achievement as for beginners because that was a necessary condition, since then the requirements have softened a lot and it is much easier to join the Steemit Challenge now.
I joined the Steemit Challenge, as it is called now, in season 20. I also took part in seasons 21 and 23 - I love odd numbers.
Thanks to the Steemit Challenge I also joined curating a year ago, that I already lost count how many times our teams were chosen - it seems about five.
Now it is season 27 - an odd number - so I hope I will be lucky 😁. I would like to continue with teaching mathematics or programming, I was already thinking about topics - but at the last moment a wonderful idea struck me to teach how to play one beautiful game, a computer game.
Since the times when I discovered Steemit Challenge where there were strict conditions for selection I wanted to join, I even passed the Achievement as for beginners because that was a necessary condition. But these conditions softened each time and covered an ever larger audience of participants. And already for a year I from time to time take part in them. What kind of educational courses have not been here - making a fire, and electrical wiring, and pots from cement, baking and knitting, medicinal herbs... - but there were no games.
I discovered this game back in 1999, although the original version by Chris Sawyer was released at the end of 1994. In 2004 the fan community started an open project for developing the game as free software, and since then it has been improving every day. In 2008 I made a translation of the game into Ukrainian. At that time the developers switched to the use of Unicode, thanks to which the game received support not only for Latin, but also for other languages with their specific symbols.
OpenTTD is a free strategy game, also known as "Transport Tycoon". It can also be classified as a business simulator or an economic simulator. On the map, cities grow by themselves, resources and industrial enterprises appear. The task is only to establish transportations: by buses, trucks, ships, airplanes, and of course, trains.
The game belongs to free software, so there is no need to buy it — just download and install.
We will not dive professionally into this game, that is why the story about trains I moved from the second week to the fifth. But I hope that after our six lessons this will not leave you indifferent to it.
I even looked at Steemit as an economic game, (I as a mathematician love numbers). On Steemit as in the game you perform certain actions from which your economic indicator Steem Power grows. My nearest goal of 50K recently changed to a new one - Orca 61K (100 MV).

If it weren’t for one Steem Power withdrawal 6 years ago, I would have said that I have never withdrawn STEEM, only bought it from time to time. | ![]() | |
About six months ago I wrote about +450 powerup, my SP was 37,000, now it is about 43,000, so the real growth in Steem Power is 6,000 over 6 months. | ![]() |

Completing the tasks involves performing certain actions in the game, achieving goals, and demonstrating the process and final result of the task with screenshots (possibly supplemented by a video).
This makes the use of AI impossible, since the test explanations are tied to the screenshots.
The evaluation of the tasks is based on the completion of all points of the task and a good description and presentation of one’s work.

The game seems very interesting and creative. I have never played this game but I would like to learn about this game and will try my best to play it.
It sounds cool and am pretty sure you're in!
খুবই চমৎকার একটি গেমিং টপিক নিয়ে অ্যাপ্লিকেশন করেছেন, সিজন ২৭ এর জন্য শুভকামনা রইল 🥰
I was thinking about math and geometry and the idea of this game came to me spontaneously.
I played it when the screen size was still 800x600 pixels, and since then I have been dreaming of bigger and bigger monitors, now I have 3440x1440 pixels😊
