I generally root for the Pac-12 team, so my heart is with Washington, but Ohio State has been pretty good this year, and so it will probably come down to whether or not the Washington defense can stop the Ohio State offense, or whether or not the Washington offense can keep up with the Ohio State offensive scoring.
Yep, WA offense couldn't put much together until the 4th quarter. It looked like it was going to be a blowout for a while there. At least it ended up being semi-competitive.
Whoa. That did wind up closer. Things weren't looking so good so we pretty much gave up on the game since half of the family really isn't interested in football, anyway.
That means the Pac-12 went 3-4 in bowl games this year, with Stanford, Oregon and Washington State being the only winners. Washington, Cal, ASU and Utah all didn't make it.
Oregon got really lucky with theirs. Lucky that their defense was better than the Michigan State offense, and that the offense was able to put together a quick scoring drive to take the lead in the second half. One of the worst, lowest scoring games I've seen in a while.
We were going to watch it regardless, but it just got more interesting at the end.
