#ulog:Day20. The Completion of My Weekly Narrative Report in Working Inside the Company

We had taken some pictures while doing a assigned tasks inside the field. We gained knowledge about the job inside the company. We helped each other and share the ideas to others related to the work.



We have an orientation at the Mindanao Room. We introduced ourselves to everyone. Mam. Meresol told us the job here in Cepalco Energy Services Corporation and the working experience of OJT(On-the-Job Training) last year 2017.She was given us a DTR(Delay Time Record) to determine our time schedule on duty. We need to come early at exactly 8:00 am in the morning and end at 5:00pm. She told us if we get 3 late then it will consider it as a 1 absent.
We were bored while sitting down and nothing to do inside the main office. Mam. Laarne Caorte came and given us the books to read that contains about their company. Engr. Mark Pugoy told and oriented us about the job in the company. According to him, we have a limitations, we are able to do but limited because we are only a trainees. We are just observing and assisting the workers of company on what they`re doing. He told us to wait for Engr.Pabua to proceed in the warehouse.
When Engr. Reynald Pabua came to us, the Supervisor of CESCO line crew, he brought us to the CIP(warehouse) of the company. We are assigning in the warehouse. We are there to expose the working environment of the company. We have met the workers of the company and also our co-trainees.

We are just observing and assisting the workers of company on what theyre going to the new constructed 2 storey building of Toyota Company located in Kauswagan CDO. We just helped the line crew together with Engr. Pabua to dig a hole about 6 ft in order to put a pole below the ground. In the next day, we prepared the things or tools to bring to the Toyota Company and also helping and assisting the line man crew to install the cut-out fuse, arrester, cross arm and suspension insulator.

In the next day, we visited the Capitol University Medical Center Hospital located in Lapasan to troubleshoot the main source in the hospital. They are using only a generator for temporary. That's why the hospital wants to resolve this problem. We change and put the fuse cut-out in the pole then in a few minutes ,we heard and saw a spark when they put a fuse cut-out. According to Engr. Pabua and Engr. Michael ,one transformer was already a damage and also the transformers are not balance when it comes to the output. The company decided to buy one transformer but the CESCO company told them to buy a one set which is the 3 transformers, they will not sale a one transformer ,it should be a set. After the hospital decided to buy the transformers, then the line crew delivered the complete set of transformers and replace the old transformers to new. The line crew decided to work it an overtime because there is no space when the truck entering the area, they think first on what to do and then to finish installing the 3 transformers.

Engr. Gino Macapayag asked help for the engineering students about his electrical plan in St. Francis Hospital located in Canitoan. He told us to do it through AutoCAd Software. He told us to do computations for all floors by solving firs the line currents , phase currents and size of the wire.
We knew at first, we don’t know what to do because it was hard to do it, we don’t have any idea or knowledge about it . Then , we asked a help to Engr.Jogiepril Legaspi about this electrical plan; he told us to use the large amount of ampere load then calculate the line currents and phase currents in order to determine the value of ampere trip on what will be the size and what kind of circuit breaker.
Then we texted Engr.Gino if what will be the next steps to do then he said , we will proceed to the main office to continue making this plan. We are making this in just 2 weeks or more. We were extended for how many days due to lacking of information on what to do next.

We knew that Engr.Gino was so busy man to handle this plan but he trusted us to do it. But he was there with sir Ben to ask if there`s a problem or next step to do. It takes us more time while making this plan then Engr. Gino check what we were doing and he also added our assigned tasks.
We did not finish it immediately because we need to check every line if there is mistake like the alignment, the computations etch.
We summarized all floors by the circuit feeders and also the elevator, escalator etch. In the final summary for all floors , we need to get the larger value of ampere load which is the single phase load then multiply by 1.732 plus 3 phase load then followed by the continuous load(multiply by 25%), the demand factor (multiply by 50%) then you can get the circuit breaker protection base on the demand factor then that was the time to get the ampere trip, ampere frame and size of wire.
After we finished and saved it in a usb (flash drive) then we will pass it to sir Ben to re-check and continue if there is lacking about this electrical plan.
