Hello there! Whew! At last I was able to upload my fotos. Our signal has been very poor since the other night. Well, I am just excited to show you that my favorite jackfruit is almost ready for harvest. Say, a week from now.

We usually cover the fruit with sack cloth to avoid insects from destroying the young pulp until it's ready for harvest. Next to durian, this is one of my favorite fruits.

The fruit grows even from the ground. It is the native variety hence you can see several sacks covers above. More blooms are sprouting so we gather dried leaves and burn it under its tree to spread smoke around the sphere. It will eradicate insect and bug infestation.

Next time, I plan to pluck a young jackfruit for guinataan nangka and ensalada. It's so yummy!

Thank you for reading guys! God bless.
