Woman who performed animal cruelty on camera tries (and so far fails) to set up Gofundme
I'm sure you have noticed that the crowdsourcing or whatever it is actually called is a bit crazy right now. It seems as though the political divide is encouraging people to have a pissing contest over who can get the most money sent to them over something that for the most part, isn't really deserving of them receiving money.
I think this is a dangerous thing to have be successful, even if it is only a select few individuals who end up actually getting the money. The reason I say that is because if enough people end up actually getting rewarded for doing terrible things such as murdering someone or being on video in situations that are meant to be racially motivated, it is sadly, going to encourage other people to do the same thing.
Well recently something made the news that really boiled by blood and it involves a woman who had a small-time cooking channel with 20k followers and in some of these videos she would kill the animals that she was cooking, in what is described as a very cruel and unnecessary manner.

Her name is Anigar Monsee and in her videos she - I didn't watch the videos - apparently started with live animals and then prepared them for meals in what she calls a "traditional manner." Now call me ethnocentric if you want to, but if your traditions are to torture an animal before you kill and cook it, your traditions suck and so do you.
I have no illusions that my burgers or fried chicken are willing participants in the process, but I do feel that there really should be and is for the most part, an ethical and as close to painless way of dealing with this. This woman appears to torment the animals and slowly kill them with one of the really damning videos that involved her toying with an animal for a long period of time and then cutting its throat with a dull knife and in other one stamping it to death.
What sort of barbarism is this?
As seems to be the case in a lot of these sorts of situations she has turned this into something political where she paints herself as a victim and talks about how her daughter could be taken away from her if she is deported.
As it turns out she is not a US citizen but lives in Delaware apparently. It is unclear if she is here on a student visa or what, but now she has attracted the wrong kind of attention to herself and while I normally find PETA irritating, they were not wrong to bring attention to what this woman was doing.
She has established a Gofundme, which conveniently leaves out the crucial details of her being convicted of animal cruelty in court and now faces 7 years in prison. Whether or not she would be deported or not seems moot to me, but honestly, why shouldn't she be?

I was happy to see that her gofundme has raised almost none of the money that she was hoping for and I hope that it stays that way. Her getting no money is a more powerful statement than taking the donation site down - so I hope they keep it up. I can't imagine the sort of evil person out there that would even try to justify her actions, daughter in country or not.
Another sickening aspect of this all is that on her channel, wherever it was - youtube or tiktok or something - she would receive cash donations from people who had specific requests for what animal she would cook and torture next, so there are people out there that not only do not find this sort of animal abuse appalling, but are willing to pay money to see it done.
I don't remember how I stumbled across this information, probably from that Dahmer series, but one of the prime characteristics of psychopaths is getting a rise out of torturing animals. not only in Anigar Monsee a monster, but the people that would make these requests are as well.
It's an evil world that we live in, that is for sure. I hope she does hard time... she and anyone else that tortures innocent animals deserves exactly that.
