Speed indicator fail to reposition upon screen rotation.

in #utopian-io7 years ago (edited)

Expected behavior

In portrait mode the indicator appear just under the status bar, and above the status bar in landscape mode. It is expected that the indicator takes proper positions regarding the current screen orientation even during rotation.

Actual behavior

Launching the app in portrait mode leaves the indicator under the status bar, but after the screen is rotated to display in landscape, the indicator is displayed above the bar and remains there even when the display is reconfigured to portrait mode.
It is only corrected when the app is restarted.

How to reproduce

  • Configure device to Auto-Rotation
  • Launch DataStats, holding the device in portrait mode.
  • Notice the network speed indicator 0.00kb/s/ 1.00kb/s below the status bar.
  • Hold the device to display in landscape
  • Notice the indicator above the status bar
  • finally, place the device to display in portrait mode.
  • Notice the app still at the top of the status bar, over lapping other status bar icons.

Testing Environment

  • Browser: Chrome
  • Operating system: Android version 6.0. Marshmallow.
    App version: v2.4.1

This is far from cosmetic. The floating indicator overlap other icons in portrait mode. @helo
