I am standing here remembering my past birthdays. Yes, today again is my birthday and I am standing here waiting for you like I used to wait standing here exactly at this point. The only difference is today I am wearing black but those dresses were different when you were still in my life.  

Today, I am standing here waiting for you once again like I have gone in flashback.

I have been ready since evening and standing here for the last hour, and you forgot my birthday. What should I do now? I don't know why you forget my birthday every year. I always remember your birthday, and I prepare as much as I can and celebrate a party. To wish you a happy birthday I always waited the previous night to wish you until 12.

Okay, you wished me last night and promised an outing this evening, but see, I am standing here waiting for you. Even though my birthday is not an important day. I am not so sorry that you forgot this day, which I thought of as another day of my life, so please don't mind but accept my feelings only that way.

I know if my birthday passed away because you were busy or you ignored it. I am not saying you were rude to me. I know you probably don't even remember at this moment that it is my birthday. But it is not your fault. You are a very busy person. Aren't you?

Do you think it doesn't matter whether I live with you or not? It seems you just forgot my birthday. I can imagine you must have a lot of work right now, so don't let yourself get upset when you come back and realise that I missed you!

I know that this is not a deliberate mistake on your part because it's done without intention, and it does not show that you have ignored me. Although you already knew that my birthday was coming, you probably did not take it seriously or take any steps to remind yourself. But it's okay.

If you did not take the simple step of writing in your diary this morning that today is my birthday and you promised me to take me out for dinner, then I just feel a little sad, but it is okay.

You have the right to forget someone's birthday, but still you are very close to me, so should I blame you for this small thing? You yourself say forgetting someone's birthday is not a big deal, especially if the person is as forgetful as you are and probably is foolish because of that.

I know that forgetting someone's birthday cannot be considered a selfish act. I do not know what to call it. I just wish you success in your work.

But tell me one thing, "Why do most husbands always forget their wives' birthdays but never forget when and where their friends' birthdays are reaching there in time with big gifts?"
