The first broken heart

 

 

• Little sweatheart...

 

Denise was a young girl, she was young, beautiful and very kind. Everyone loved her and called heart “sweetheart”, maybe because of that she never felt to be cheated and thought that everyone around her love her and never deceive.

Once she reached her teenage years she became even more beautiful and she knew that too. People say that beauty is a weapon of a women and she knew already now how to use this “weapon” because until now she broke so many hearts of young teenage boys. She enjoyed to be admired and felt herself like a real princess, for her it was like it will be this way forever. That is why she never experienced what means to loose. Her parents knew that although they did not like her approach to young boys but they just loved their daughter very much and they just thought she will grow up and understand it.

Once when she became 18 year old, she then was allowed to attend a Ball, that was a big event in her city and usually wealthy people only could attend it with a special invitation. One day she found a letter addressed to her name and it was an invitation inside to the Spring Ball in a Palace of a Hertzog. She knew that he had a son Michael who was 5 years older than herself but he was real handsome young man and all local girls were dreaming about a dance with Michael, but usually he never invited any and that was what the girls were chatting all the time, they were trying to attract his attention when visiting a Ball.

 

• Preparing for a Ball...

 

In the past Denise just laughed about such stories but now when she was invited she decided to win the attention of Michael as she knew nobody can resist her sweet, naive attitude. It took about a week to prepare, she needed to order a special dress and jewellery and hair do. Her father was just smiling seeing his daughter and only thought that here she is his adult daughter. He knew about her plan and her wish but he already knew that her plan will not come true. Because from the other rumours among men her heard that Michael prefers boys to girls. Of course, he did not want to spread rumours and also he did not want to upset his daughter. On other hand he also had a hope that her charm might make its trick to Michael too.

The day of Ball, Denise was fascinated by the whole beauty of reception and of all ladies in their perfect outfit, she also saw Michael and was introduced him. He politely kissed her hand and smiled but seconds later his smile is gone and eyes were at the group of young men.

 

• Broken heart...

 

The whole evening was disaster, Denise wanted to go home earlier and once they arrived, she just fall onto the sofa with her face buried in her hands and pillow and started to cry. She felt very bad and for her the dream of her powerful beauty was destroyed as well as her to be rejected.

Her father sat down next to Denise, he was just silently there for her, just in case if she needs a company to tell what is happening in her heart. He saw her daughter with broken heart first time and was not able to hold his tears. He could protect her from everything but not from broken heart.
