A Day in the Life of a Veterinary Student

Hi everyone! 👋 I’m Arman Hossain, who loves to write and a student at the Faculty of Animal Science & Veterinary Medicine in Patuakhali Science and Technology University. Today, I want to share with you about my daily life — the early mornings, busy classes, practical lessons, fun moments, and, of course, my endless love for animals. 🐶🐄🐈

🌅 Morning Routine

My day usually starts early — around 6 AM. I wake up, freshen up, and quickly check my To list before heading out. Some mornings, I help to feed the animals on campus or check on a few patients if we have practical sessions.
A strong cup of tea is a must to kickstart my brain for a long day ahead!

📖 Classes & Practical Sessions

Once classes begin, it’s non-stop learning. From Animal Anatomy and Physiology to Animal Nutrition, every lecture teaches us how to care for animals better.
Practical sessions are my favorite part — handling animals, observing surgeries, or assisting senior vets. I still remember the first time I held a newborn calf — tiny, warm, and full of life. That moment made all the late-night study sessions worth it.

🍽️ Lunch Break & Campus Life

Around noon, we get a break. I usually grab lunch from the campus canteen with friends — it’s our time to relax, share laughs, and plan our next group study. Sometimes we sit under a big tree, enjoying our meals and gossiping about classes, teachers, or upcoming exams.

🐾 Afternoon Activities

After lunch, it’s back to work. Some days, we visit local farms, check livestock health, or join our professors in fieldwork.
Afternoons are busy but fulfilling — each animal I meet teaches me something new. Whether it’s cleaning wounds, giving vaccinations, or just observing — every task builds my skills and confidence.

🌙 Evening Routine

When the classes end, my day doesn’t! I usually spend my evenings revising notes or working on assignments. I also squeeze in some time for my blogging — sharing ideas, writing articles, or planning my next post for Steemit.
Balancing study and blogging is tough but exciting — it keeps my creative side alive.

⚡ Challenges & Struggles

Being a vet student isn’t all sunshine and cuddly animals. Sometimes, the workload is heavy, the nights are long, and practicals can be exhausting.
But every struggle is worth it when I see an animal recover, wag its tail, or look at me with grateful eyes.

❤️ Why I Love Veterinary Life

My love for animals keeps me going, even on my hardest days. I dream of becoming a skilled vet who not only treats animals but also helps people understand them better.
One day, I hope to open my own clinic and share my knowledge through my writing.
