SC-S26W1/Video Editing, Getting Started
Hello Dear Steemians,
I am here to participate in season 26 steemit challenge
I won't say I am new to video editing but I am always willing to learn new technologies coming from all sources so when my friend @anailuj1992 taught us making videos through Cap Cut App, I grabbed the opportunity as I am using it for the first time.
Here is how and what I learned in this class:
First of all I used online video editing App Cap Cut and signed up using my email. That's right, I will not download the App but use online to save space on my hard drive. Let me confess at this point that I am no good with phone so I will use my laptop, gallery and "Download" folder.

I then completed all their formalities and created a profile for further use of this beautiful application. I allowed the necessary permissions so they allow me to make videos in turn.
I selected these images
Rest was easy as I imported the images and video clips that I wanted to use for this contest. I love nature so my video's theme is going to be based on Nature.
I must mention here that I often visit my nearby parks, and places where I could mingle with nature, kids and strangers and I keep capturing them.
I have a large number of clips of videos in my gallery of laptop so I downloaded them to make it easy to bring them to Cut Cap.
I selected these clips for my intended video and took their screenshot to be posted here
Once I had enough material to make a video for this contest as taught by @anailuj1992. I brought them to App by importing the video clip #1. I could see the duration I had selected in seconds and minutes of the video length in the timeline.
Here is how it looked.
As I said, I keep clicking on various targets for my random use, so here are a few of them that I am going to use in this video.

I went to my download folder and gallery and brought video clips and images.
As much as I understand the CapCut app, we can bring any number of images or video clips by clicking at the plus sign, so I imported another video clip by clicking at the + sign from my download folder on the laptop.

Meanwhile, I could have removed from my video what was unwanted, but I did not do that with my video clips unless I thought it was a must; however, I removed a few images that I thought were not relevant.
As we all know, while recording a video, it's best to use your phone horizontally, but I mostly use my cameras for the purpose, so I get appropriate clips and images, but in the case of vertical images and clips, we can always change the ratio and make them look better.
As the lesson teaches us, the first frame of the video clip or the first picture used automatically changes the ratio. I tried it, and it worked in this case.
As taught in the lesson, I opted for a 16.9 ratio. I use my cursor to click at the required size and adjust even if my clips are in proper sizes, but just in case.

I had a couple of extra images or a few of the duplicates, which I deleted by using the menu bar. Since I am using this app for the first time, finding a couple of functions took time, but I managed.
I kept coming back to the app's menu bar and kept clicking on different buttons to see that everything goes right. I am familiar with video editing on other tools, so I was tempted to do more, but since this is the first lesson in this contest, I wanted to do everything according to the lesson.

To add the overlay, I will be needing the Steemit logo, which I have already downloaded from the class as instructed. The steps are as follows. I had already used Steemit logo, it appears on my video.
At the menu, I search for the overlay button and I added Steemit logo as seen in the screenshot and you will find it in my video. Actually while making videos at YouTube I use "Timeline" but it was different here
At the timeline, I clicked select so that the Steemit logo can be extended to every part of the video or project till the end but it it was not proper so I used it a little differently this time around.
Exporting Video
After I completed the the video, I saw no export button in the beginning. I tried my best but could not find the download button, but when I closed the media compiler, I could see it, and that made me take a sigh of relief. After that, everything was easy.
I must say, I am grateful to my teacher for adding another video editing tool in my kitty. I finally exported and downloaded and posted it to YouTube.
Now I present the summary and detail of my project.
These videos and images were already in my hard drive and download folders of my laptop, which is a Lenovo touch screen two-in-one for my personal use, although I use an HP for my official use. I use an Apple phone for my official use but an A56 Samsung phone for personal use.
I have used the videos and images during my travel to beaches in Australia and mountains in New Zealand with a friend, so it's all about my love for nature. You can hear me breathe while walking fast and my friend biking on the walking/biking track.
I was in nature, so I did not do much talking but let you hear the natural sounds of nature. I was walking briskly at the time of capturing a clip with my phone.
I have used my phone for capturing these images and video clips. I have made this video online through my laptop online without downloading the app, as I have mentioned earlier in this project in the CapCut app.
However, I have tried my best as per the instructions of the Project Guide @anailuj1992, doing everything as taught by her. I have tried my best to take a screenshot when importing or setting the ratio or compiling the images and videos from different sources as desired.
I had a few criteria already set, yet I repeated it like I did, overlaying or deleting part of the clips, and finally exported the video to my laptop. Thank you once again @anailuj1992 for a great tutorial.
I invite @ninapenda @norat23 and @senehasa and @muzack1
Greetings, dear friend.

The video display is affected because the Steemit logo image is covering the top of the video. I don't know if you can see it, so I'll leave you a screenshot. (I went to YouTube and it looks the same.)
The Steemit logo looks faded and pixelated. You could download it using the .png format with no background. At the end, I'll share a file I used for the logo.

Your explanation follows the steps in the challenge.
I saw you downloaded a Caput application for the desktop computer that I wasn't familiar with. I'll check it out. I prefer to work on a PC because I'm a bit clumsy with a cell phone.

Thanks for taking your time and for the heads up. In fact the one I have used is .png and in minimum possible size. I have used this App for the first time so am not families with it. Maybe next time I will do better. No I did not download the App but worked online.
I mostly edit on Clipchamp which is easier and quick.
This shows how well you must have studied the use of Caput. I am aware of these steps except overlay but I will have to exercise what I have learned from the class and surely, I will have my entry submitted soon.
Thank you for the invite, all the best Sir.

To be frank, I am no good at phone apps so I missed couple of features like the one you have mentioned. I can do it easily in YouTube and other desktop based versions but this one was new for me so I did it for a trial. Thanks and looking forward for your post.
Yes, you missed some features, but still you pulled the stunt. I don't know how well I will perform, but I'm positive.
My entry is loading...
I missed the features which are not available in desktop version.

Wow you have tried your best just as you have said, I can see how you carry out the step by step practise I think it's okay depending on the device you are using.
If you quiet very ok, I'm just as you have said with some features about there yeah that's true and even with that the video is okay.
Wishing you success
Thanks @ninapenda 👍
I love the location to be honest. But I am afraid, you may not have noticed that you used a Background-based Steemit overlay instead of a Transparent one.
Seeing how the capcut interface looks on laptop is a new learning for me. I must admit that you have done great job here, teaching us that we can also use the online video editing capcut.
You have also applied what you learnt from the lesson. I didn't use the add button in my own but you did though I clicked it but didn't import anything again since I was already done importing. Removing unwanted videos and photos is another expect I must commend you.
You have used clips and photos of your outings where you went to interact with nature and kids. That's great! We will keep learning until we are good at it. I wish you success?
Thank you so much for saying all the good things about this ordinary effort even if I stand no chance in this project. I am sure I am in for a surprise when I visit your post.
Saludos.
Un buen video
Yo también soy amante de la naturaleza y disfruto cada paisaje .
Muy buen video le deseo éxitos en su participación
