I'm not sure how political the poem is supposed to be but keep in mind the right to bear arms isn't the problem. The vast majority of gun deaths come from despotic governments where the "right" to bear arms doesn't exist. Criminals simply don't care. Who knew? Guns and God aren't the problem ;). There is an illness predisposed inside the human condition that has a tendency to convey malice.
