Today is final day of volleyball world championship 2025
Italy vs Bulgaria - Final is today
September 28th, 2025 - today they play final match! Italy and Bulgaria fight for world championship title right now.
Italy want to win second time and Bulgaria... nobody think they will be here but they surprise everyone! They play so good this tournament.
Czech Republic already get bronze medal yesterday. They beat Poland and this is very good for them because they never get medal before.
I watch many matches and volleyball level was really high this year.
Tunisia team - how my country do
I am from Tunisia so of course I follow our team very close! Let me tell you what our boys did:
Pool matches went good:
- First game against Philippines we win 3-0. This was nice because Philippines is host country so not easy to win there
- Then we play Egypt - big match for us! North Africa derby you know. We win 3-0 again and score was 25-19, 25-18, 25-22
- We finish first in our pool! I was so happy when I see this
Round of 16 - this is where we stop:
- We play Czech Republic on September 23rd
- They were stronger and we lose 3-0. Score was close but they have more experience
- Our journey end here but still I think we did good
Even we don't go to quarterfinals, I am proud of Tunisia team. Round of 16 in world championship is not bad result for us.
Best players and who score most
Top scorers:
Aleksandar Nikolov from Bulgaria was crazy good! This guy score 173 points in whole tournament. He is main reason why Bulgaria reach final.
Other players who score a lot:
- Ferre Reggers from Belgium - 106 points
- Patrik Indra from Czech Republic - 106 points
- Lukas Vasina - 98 points
Which teams attack best:
- Bulgaria was number one with 350 attack points
- Czech Republic come second with 317 points
- Poland, Italy and Iran also attack very good
Now I understand why Bulgaria in final - they have strongest attack in tournament!
Who win most championships before
Russia still have most titles with 6 championships! They are best in volleyball history.
Italy try to get their 5th title today. If they win, they will be second best country in volleyball world.
This tournament show that volleyball become harder every year. Teams like Bulgaria and Czech Republic prove that if you work hard, you can surprise big teams.
What I think about all this
This championship was really exciting to watch! So many surprise and good matches.
Bulgaria going to final was biggest shock for me. They play with so much energy and heart. Their player Nikolov was impossible to stop!
About Tunisia, I am happy even we lose in Round of 16. Our team show we can play against good teams and this give me hope for next time.
Volleyball level was amazing - players show incredible skills and every match was exciting. Sometimes I couldn't believe what I see on TV!

My last words: This world championship will stay in my memory for long time! Bulgaria was huge surprise, Czech Republic get their best result ever, and our Tunisia make us proud even we don't go far.
Volleyball is beautiful sport because you never know what will happen! Small teams can beat big teams if they believe in themselves.
