RE: The Curious Case of Projectile Milkshakes and An Outrage of Words 🍼👋
I am all for humiliating racists and other troublemakers,
Same. The problems arise when people either knowingly or unknowingly conflate racism with the desire to preserve national identity and cultural values.
I am predominantly Mexican ethnically but am an American first with a love for the values and tradition that have helped build the society that we and others enjoy.
I don't want to see America become Mexico (I'm from Texas so it's pretty close) nor do I want Mexico to become the USA. In like fashion, I am aware of what is going on across the pond in say London for instance. It is my understanding that English culture is in the process of being replaced.
I think ultimately there are powers that be that tend to pull the strings and believe the global elite have an interest in quelling national identity as part of the process of conforming people to accept the prospect of global governance.
I am wary that their ultimate aim is enacting mechanisms for population reduction but it won't be them that affected but primarily the middle class. For instance, with global control, they may bring down the hammer of environmental regulation the kind that is often known to cripple small business.
The corporations can deal with these things but think Mom and Pop's will have a hard time. In the grand scheme, this may just be one of many checkpoints on the roadmap. I hope not.
Anyways, I appreciate you honesty and glad that even if we may fall on differing sides of the spectrum that we are in a place that can have this conversation.
Enjoy your weekend, brotha!
The extent to which English/British culture is being changed is greatly exaggerated. Culture changes anyway. We have had waves of immigrants throughout our history. It is not a recent thing.
There would seem to be 'powers' pulling in different directions as there are 'nationalist' groups taking power in various places. There is a lot of manipulation of news and social media. The Fox corporation is one of the biggest and seems to favour people like Trump who takes every opportunity to dismiss other news sources. It's all about reducing trust in what may be useful sources of information.
I happen to believe that we do need urgent action on environmental issues. There may be some pain for the middle classes, but it should also target the rich who use more than their fair share of resources. Some may say we need to worry about Indian, China etc, but most of the middle class and above could make big reductions without really suffering. We have to find new business models that are sustainable as just carrying on like this is bound to end in disaster.
