Will Trump, et. al., Roll The Dice of War?
It appears clear Russia will not let Assad lose power. If anything demonstrates this, it is the fact of the military action that has recently taken place in East Ghouta and now south of Damascus.
Turkey, in the northwest, and the US, in the northeast, have respectively completed their land grabs. In the south, Israel holds Syria's Golan Heights with a buffer zone of Al Qaeda elements on the Syrian side of The Golan.
Syria claims its victory will not be complete until all occupying nations are removed from its sovereign territory.
The ultimate question becomes: What will Syria do next? Since their attack forces are now well placed near the Golan, I'm thinking they'll next drive out the southern Al Qaeda elements. In the process of doing this there becomes a great risk of military conflict with Israel which has become fond of Al Qaeda's buffer and has been supplying it and performing medical assistance.
In mid-May the US plans on opening its embassy in Jerusalem and this is unfortunately timed with 70th anniversary of Nakba, the date when 900,000 Palestinians were driven from their homes to pave the way for Israel's creation as a nation.
It's quite possible the recent action we've seen from the US, UK and France is but a prelude to what might happen as the Nakba approaches. If you've read the recent news reports you'll note the Palestinian demonstrations are being met with sniper fire and drone attacks. Around two dozen have been killed and over a 1,000 people injured.
The intensity grows and each passing day, it's gets hotter and hotter!
Perhaps this is why the powerful US aircraft carrier group has entered the region. The biggest problem is the fact the US, UK and Israeli leadership are top heavy with warmongers, hungry for oil and geopolitical control. As already proven, they seem not to care much for the value of human life or displacement of populations.
All three nations not only are seeking provocations; they are creating them.
These are telling times. America, at war for 93% of its existence as a nation, with an irrational leader like Trump at the helm, likely will roll the war dice. Otherwise, he'll have to accept the likelihood of a military defeat in Syria and a political defeat at home. For the safety of our soldiers, let's pray his impertinence doesn't roll snake eyes.
Once the bulk of the fighting has stopped overall and Russian forces withdraw, conditions will not become comfortable for the US as it'll attempt (or its proxies) to continue occupying two Syrian landlocked positions. History in Saudi Arabia, Lebanon and Iraq has not been friend to US occupation in Arab lands. So what are the odds this could go smoothly?
When all is said and done it seems like not only Russia but China too will be victorious as they are aligned to usher in the Belt Road Initiative which will reopen the ancient Silk Road trading routes from EuroAsia down through the Balkans and Turkey, across the four Shia Crescent nations into the Stan countries ultimately linking Lower Asia, perhaps also India. If this plan is as sensible as it seems even Europe will become pressured to join.
This is why I think, rather than risk losing its hegemony, the US will roll the war dice hoping to upset the balance of trends to come and maybe also head off ant future impact from China's new petro yuan which was introduced into trading markets two weeks ago. Notably, the petro yuan is also backed by gold as China leads the world in gold production. Russia is third and the US is fourth.

Pray for peace and if your government is involved. Please tell them to back off and mind their own business! Too many already have died for oil. This should not happen, especially during a time when so many new green and renewable alternatives are coming into play.
