We all had to figure it out! Practice makes perfect though. Post away, refine your writing, and find your niche here over time!
@papa-pepper made a nice series of videos for newcomers. I will link the first several here:

I also wrote a few posts with hopefully useful info about 4 months ago: Getting started and netiquette. There are links in those articles to other resources other Steemians have created, too.
I appricate the help very much. I will check all of that out.
