Microbursts, Intense Rain Columns and Towering Cumulonimbus - Weather Photography June 2nd 2018

And the storm finally arrives! Immense, towering Cumulonimbus storm clouds, which can be seen in this video, shuffling ever closer as the storm drops several very intense columns of rain down upon the city of Reading in Southeastern Pennsylvania.

I held the birdcam up in the air as long as I felt comfortable, until I thought it was about to rain but this storm actually broke up around the hill/mountain of Nolde Forest and failed to precipitate on our homestead. But perhaps a mile South, where @docroulston lives, over the next ridgeline, was the opposite story. Complete deluge. But it did produce some very beautiful weather photographs and cloud photographs. Wow.

Edit: added this radar screenshot displaying rain intensity. Matches the photos below very well.

After this storm passed however, there was a second round of precipitation that eventually fell on the land to quench my plants! I thank the Heavenly Father.
