CITRUS SKUNK GROW

This Citrus Skunk cannabis plant was started indoors two months before transplanting outdoors. It had grown to a foot tall - under low power (110 watts total) LED grow lights, transplanted outside at the end of May - after the last frost. Harvested just before November, just before the 2nd frost - that's 7 months of growing for the grand total.

The full flowering/budding time was 2 months (60 days).

Four weeks before harvest

Last Two Weeks of Patience

Two weeks before the harvest, most all of the white hairs had dried up and turned red. It's important not to be tempted to harvest too early, the last two weeks the buds swell up with resin. I kept my eye on the temperature and weather report, harvested the night before the second frost.

Dried and Cured

The large fan leaves were trimmed off, the plant was hung upside down for a couple days until i got around to trimming the smaller leaves. One more trimming then the buds went onto the rack for air drying in the shade. Three weeks later the buds were dry enough for curing - the buds were placed in air tight containers for a week so the any moisture in the buds would spread evenly throughout the buds.

Citrus Skunk Looks, Scent, Flavor

After 7 months of vegging and budding, 3 weeks of drying, and 1 weeks of curing, the buds were ready to smoke. The Citrus Skunk buds have a dank, skunky, and sweet lemon-lime citrus scent and flavor with that touch of skunk spice on the tail end.

Face slap...

At harvest you count 6 weeks for the total cure. Still have about2 weeks for curing.

It takes 6 weeks for the chlorophyll to degrade.....

Sigh. We had the curing wars last year... Man did you miss that part?

Oh well, luckily i didn't smoke it all in the first two weeks i guess - smoked fine for me :)

Loading...

I've smoked it freshly dry...

But yes cure is 6 weeks. Longer if you can manage it.

Cool dark place for storage.

And I'd blaze it for sure!
