Aceh Besar District Government Holds Zikir and Joint Prayer to Welcome the Islamic New Year.
In order to welcome and enliven the Islamic New Year 1447 H, the Aceh Besar District Government (Pemkab) held a zikr, prayer, and sermon centered at the Babussalam Jamik Mosque, Lamteungoh Village, Ingin Jaya District, Aceh Besar Regency, Aceh Province, Thursday, 6/26/2025 evening.
The activity was attended by the Regent of Aceh Besar H Muharram Idris, Deputy Regent Drs H Syukri A Jalil, Acting Regional Secretary Bahrul Jamil SSos MSi, elements of the Forkopimda, officials of the Aceh Besar Regional Secretariat, expert staff of the regent, assistants to the Regional Secretary, Heads of OPD, sub-district heads, ASN, keuchik, and elements of dayah.
The Regent of Aceh Besar H Muharram invited all OPDs, keuchiks, and the community to welcome and fill this Islamic New Year with enthusiasm and motivation to continue to increase faith and piety to Allah SWT.
"Let us welcome and fill this Islamic New Year with enthusiasm and continue to increase faith and piety to Allah SWT," said the Regent of Aceh Besar.
He explained that the turn of the Islamic New Year was a momentum for all components of society in Aceh to introspect and motivate all to increase faith and piety.
On that occasion, Muharram Idris handed over assistance in the form of 100 sacks of cement to support the construction process of the Babussalam Mosque, Kemukiman Lamteungoh.
The community who attended the Islamic New Year's Eve activities were immersed in dhikr and joint prayers led by Tgk Mawardi.
Syech Mukhtar in his sermon invited Muslims to take wisdom from the Prophet's journey of migration from Mecca to Medina.
"Let us continue to emulate the leadership of Rasulullah SAW and fill this Islamic New Year with good deeds and always be devoted to Allah SWT," he said.
