WhiteIsWhite Flower Photography White Foxglove

in #whiteiswhite8 years ago (edited)

One of the summer flowers that just prove over and over again how beautifully they enhance the butterfly garden. If you have never grown foxglove before, give them a try and see for yourself. They are so worth the effort.

Thank you to Diane @dmcamera for creating this wonderful challenge.

They do enjoy the foxglove. thks

White flowers express purity and innocence. My favorite flowers are white lilies :)

I love white flowers too. One of my favorites is the Oriental lily, Casablanca.

I absolutely adore foxgloves, as they grow wild in my native Scotland. It is too hot to grow them in Florida, but I have planted them in the early spring, for a short season of enjoying them!

I love them too, next year I am going to start a whole area in my garden for them. I only had a few come up this year as I let them self seed.

You must live in a cooler climate than Florida. :-)

I do I live in western New York and perennials and biennials do well here.

Ah, yes they would! :-) The foxglove can't tolerate extreme heat, and I think it has to have prolonged freezes like the spring bulbs do.
