The Old Dog Asks: Did We Just Perform a Miracle? Real Video Footage!

in #windowcleaning8 years ago (edited)

Is it possible to do the seemingly impossible? This time it seems that the answer is yes!

Watch us Clean Windows in an Impossible Situation!

We wash the windows of a high end clothing store in Lugano every month. You know the type of store, the one where a pair of socks costs $20.00! They have a courtyard surrounded by glass which is 12 meters or almost 40 feet high. The only access into the courtyard is a small window through which we crawl and perform the show that you're about to see! They have recently made it even harder by planting bamboo which has now reached a height of about 3 meters (almost 10 feet)!

There is no way to fit scaffolding in the the courtyard and it's too high for regular poles so we use purified water and special carbon fibre extension poles! Once the water evaporates it leaves the windows crystal clean! Enjoy the show!

Here's a view of what it look like from the outside! Crazy stuff!

Here's a view of what it looks like from the inside! Amazingly absurd!

Points to Ponder

  • Have you done something seemingly miraculous?
  • Do you enjoy solving difficult problems?

I hope that you enjoyed this look at at an almost miracle!

Until next time,

I really enjoy the way this whole problematic got solved, great job!

The title is catchy but doesn't quite live up to what I refer to as "miracles"... There's been many in my life that I could say I have had the chance of witnessing and be part of. Such blessings... Many stories are to come on this platform when the time is ripe and I sure look forward to sharing them in due time.

Solving difficult problems is a passion of mine, when they come my way, otherwise, if the luxury of running into them arises, I surely enjoy doing so.

Thanks for sharing this creative problem solving video post. Namaste :)

Yes in this case "miracle" is a figure of speach. Real miracles in the sense of unexplainable facts are few and far between. At one point flight would have been considered a miracle and now we see huge planes pass overhead every day.

Let me know of some of your problem solving exploits. They must be cool! I look forward to your future posts!

@kus-knee I've read and watched your video offline and thought - you guys really go through quite an extra challenge to do your jobs - you're awesome!
I hope you and your team keep it safe for yourselves though!

That is pretty cool! I love that feeling when you come up with a creative solution and solve a problem!

Yes it makes me laugh when I think of the crazy things that we do to make a living. I'd rather write articles and interact here!

So would I! But some of my greatest life lessons have come from jobs I dint't particularly like.

Very cool. I subbed to you on YT. I don't know how much the special water runs you, but couldn't you get a squeegee on the end and swipe rows?
You could go high tech and even put one of those small sport cams (like the SJCam 5000) with wifi on the end so you could see what you are doing on a phone in real time!! Then you could justify doubling your prices LOL!!!

Yes we would like to add a camera! No way to get any pressure on a squeegee, too high and too close to the windows to get any pressure on the glass. I have about 25 years of experience cleaning windows! Crazy eh?

Damn kus-knee! As clever as your solution looks, having worked in cleaning-services, that would be one of those really annoying tasks to do. Just standing there holding it up I imagine would be hell on your arms! Good on you for being creative though :)

Yes well actually it's a carbon fibre pole so it's very light and you rest the weight of it on the window. Still it does need some muscle and training. Thanks so much for having a look!

A clever invention
If a man does this task, I think his arm should be hard

Yes it's quite good for building muscle!

ummmm... I can not watch video number 2, may be down due to hard fork coming for a while. Nice ! :)

Thanks for having a look at video one. Number two works in my browser but that's internet life!

I need one of those to rescue my toy drones from the trees around here.

Yes I've face similar problems with frisbees!

Exactly. I know a lady that lost hers in the state park and had to get her relations to bring a long ladder, lay it up in the tree and then use a long pole lol. No way I was getting on that ladder!!!!!! LOL

Yes we all need to rescue, cats, drones and frisbees!

A couple of times I've linked together my pool brush and pool net. That sucker gives about 20 feet of reach but it's unwieldy.

It's really crazy, but congrats for the creative solution ;)

I tell you the things that some of us do to make a living! I should have become an artist!

you ARE an artist, believe me ;)

How very kind of you!

At least he is creative :)

Yes very creative. Thanks!

Creativity along with tech will rule the world.

That's about right for this job! Thanks for coming!

Hi, @kus-knee! Great post. Tahnk you!

Thanks a lot for stopping by!
