Honestly its best to stay away from wines labeled California. The vineyards used could be from anywhere in the state, defiantly not the good ones, unless its a expensive bottle and they used fruit from the best appellation from the state. YOu want your wine to be more specific on where it from. Not saying there is good wines to be found that are very cheap.
