RE: Simple Elegance in White & Green

in #wintermas6 years ago

Beautiful photo and a very interesting story behind it @thekittygirl, and just for general info, I believe that porch is called a Veranda, as our house in Redding has that all the way around it, and the tree in the front is called a cedrus libani, or cedar of lebanon, or a close relative: the cedrus deodara; or and the only other one I could guess that to be would be a blue atlas cedar or cedrus atlantica. ( I know you like these scientific binomials hahaha).
Do they put Christmas lights up at Christmas time? I bet it would really be pretty awesome!

Ah, yes a "veranda" is the proper term, but I've only heard that used with more palatial homes, but you're right! Thanks for identifying the tree, as I was not sure what it is! I have a much-smaller cedar tree here, which I have never bothered to identify; now, you've made me want to do that! LOL! Yes, they put a very few white-colored minature lights up, but keep it classy-looking! Thanks for the informative comment! 😊
