If this were anyone else but Twain saying this, it would be blasphemous. And maybe it is anyway.
It’s not simply the “American Story” it’s the “Americas Story.” The ugly brutal chronicles of genocide, slavery, plunder and the destruction of indigenous knowledge/wisdom at the swords of the European. 500 years later, the Global South is on the rise and that’s going to change the complexion of the planet.
It’s very exciting for some folk, terrifying for others. However, those who think they are going to benefit, probably won’t to the extent that they believe. Ditto for those who fear punishment and reprisal.
This is the first part of a three part mini series that will escort us out of July and in to August. We’re not going to spill the beans here. Check for yourself. Do you see what We see? Do you receive this information? We could be very wrong. Or we could be right and the PTB could actually put a stop to it. (We doubt that though.) Or we could be right and the next century could be a hundred years of self-inflicted growing pains courtesy of those who would hang on to the status quo, in which they have no legitimate stake. Resisting for the prestige of resisting the inevitable.
