Cutting the Cost: Retiring a Node in 2 days

in Witness Activities9 hours ago (edited)

I currently operate three block-producing nodes and two API nodes, which are also configured as backup producers. My primary node, hosted on a dedicated server from Dacentec at a cost of $21/month, is no longer necessary. I’ll be shutting it down in two days, after which one of the backup nodes will be promoted to serve as the new primary.

It’s recommended for Top 20 to maintain at least one backup node. I plan to keep four, which is already more than sufficient—especially considering I currently have five.
