RE: Why we need a strong and good world government

I have to admit this a very interesting point of view. It is in stark contrast to my own beliefs that the world is better off operating through decentralised mechanisms. For example, like the small community democracies that exist in some small communities in the US. Only in my version of this world, they are not subject to the whims of State or Federal Government directives and laws.

I would not necessarily advocate anarchism but it would mostly likely operate better than our existing dictatorships and faux democracies (dominated by two parties following the same agenda). Jacques Fresco’s ideas expressed through the Venus Project quite fascinates me as well. The reliance on expertise and technology rather than uninformed dictators.

In short I believe a world Government would land too much power in the hands of the few. I don’t think we want a hunger games, 1984, or brave new world scenarios. A world Government would most likely destroy freedoms and essentially result in the tacit or even explicit enslavement of humanity.

I would still like to thank you for your post and the expression of your opinion.
