I Bought 3 Cards for Round 179. Hopefully Luck Is On My Side

I have always been involved in playing games but this time I have taken it a notch higher and enrolled in Steem Bingo which is a card game that has added excitement, suspense, and hope to my day to day life. Steem Bingo is a game wherein you buy cards with numbers, and in case the numbers announced at the end of the day fall within you card, you win. If they don’t, you lose. It is a fairly easy yet exciting process. You bet Steem tokens, purchase your cards and sit back and wait as the live drawing occurs to secure a win.

In round 179, I purchased three cards containing 3 Steems tokens. Every card carries a number of different numbers, very well organized in the usual bingo format. I had numbers 2, 8, 9, 12, 13, and 18, 19, 23, 26, 30, in the first and second row respectively. The card went off with strong numbers 31, 34, 37, 41, and 46,56, 57, 58, 60 and until 70. Just by glancing at this card, I was somewhat confident, because the distribution of numbers seemed to be even, both in the small and in the large.

My second card looked still more exciting. The first row contained 1, 2, 6, 8, 14 which gave me a hope of lower range of numbers. Then there were 18, 19, 20, 23, 26, middle numbers such as 35, 37, 39, 45, and larger ones such as 46, 48, 49, 52, 55. At last the card extended downwards to the upper end, 64, 71, 73, 75. I said to myself that since it might ever happen to me to be fortunate, this card may be the one.

I also had something to smile about on my third card. It began with 7, 8, 9, 10, 12, then 18, 19, 27, 29, 30, and then 34, 36, 37 and 45, 49, 52, 55, 59 and 60 in rows. The card was topped with high numbers like 61, 62, 65, 70, 74. This third card was of a heavy hitter, one which could really bring success on the occasion that the correct numbers were drawn.

It is the uncertainty of Steem Bingo that is its beauty. I am not even aware of the numbers to come out but I sit eagerly, just picturing my fortunes. The cards are miniature doorways to possibility. Any numbers would be called and in that instance, my card might come up a winner. The game is brought to life through the suspense.

The purchase of three cards in this round makes me more optimistic than ever. I understand that more cards do not necessarily mean that people are guaranteed of victory, but it gives them more opportunity that one of their cards would contain the correct sequence of digits. That is the excitement of bingo--you play hoping, and each number called seems to be a heart beat, making you a little nearer or a little farther nearer to winning.

I consider this game as an adventure when I reflect on the various stages of the game. Every round is another chance to roll dice, another chance to hope that it is the day. Round 179 is also special to me since I started with three cards, and the numbers are very varied. I hope that this round happens as well as the following round. I am sure that round 180, 181 or the one after it might turn out to be the breakthrough, though I do not win. This hopefulness makes me go back and round.

However, there is more than the thrill and fun to it, Steem Bingo has also taught me another important lesson in life and that is, patience and hope are great companions. The time between the purchase of cards and the results is almost like life. You invest the time, money, or effort in something but sometimes you are unaware of the outcome at that moment. As with bingo you need to wait and trust the process. You lose some days, you win some days but you do learn and you do try again.

To a Nigerian guy, this game is not just entertainment; it is also a report, that opportunities are in round, just like bingo. It is not the end of the journey because it has been missed one round. There will never be an end to life and a chance to fight another round one more chance to win another opportunity in case you are consistent.

Now, with round 179 going on, I am looking at my three cards anxiously. I can see the figures, I can see the potential and I can feel the hope expanding within me. I am already a winner in this round whether I will win or not because of the lesson, the thrill, and the hope that the game has provided me. Round 179 is, perhaps, mine, but either way round 180 is around--and I will be prepared.
