Life has a tendency of startling us at the most unexpected places. In my case, the location that has been surprising to me is a game known as Steem Bingo. It might seem a simple card game, however, every round is accompanied by tension, thrill and some profound lessons in life in case you listen.

In Steem Bingo, it is a very easy process. You purchase cards using your Steem tokens, and on the card, you can find numbers that are scattered in the form of a grid. The figures were dispersed differently and I asked myself what would happen this time around, which side would be my golden ticket. Among other things, the fact that there is the "FREE" spot in the center of every card was also striking. It reminded me that there are moments when life presents you with a gift of an opportunity that was free and you did not have to work on it, but still it is favorable.

The perfection of Steem Bingo is that it does not make any promises. You can win or you can lose. The opportunity is, however, the exciting element. Like life, we are all venturing into new days without knowing what we are going to get but we gamble anyway. Round 171 and purchase of five cards provided me with a bigger probability of winning than having only one card, yet, in any case, nothing can be ever quite sure. And yet, I remain optimistic. I think I will win with one of my cards once again like it happened to me in Round 170 when the winning numbers matched my card.

Being a Nigerian man who enjoys purpose in the simple things, the game has made me realize that winning big is not the only way to live. It is courage and hope and possibility of a second attempt. It is not about that you have to win with the help of a single card instead of losing the match, but understanding that you are playing a bigger game, and tomorrow is a new round, and you have some new opportunities.

Therefore, here I stand, with my five cards of Round 171 and I am staring at such figures as 10, 28, 35, 54, 70 and thinking, perhaps this is the card that will make a difference. And deep inside, I know, I will win or lose, I still learn, grow, and have the best time in each of the rounds.
