I want to become a beekeeper! - Issue #19 - World of honey - Mythical lily of the valley honey.
Honey is a product that can last a long time, and it is not surprising, since legends are even made up around honey and some legends come to life.
So, once, visiting one of the beekeepers' forums, I saw a heated discussion of one funny topic, which looked like a joke, but the author of the forum topic provided photos that said that everything was serious lol.
And the topic discussed honey from lilies of the valley, from primroses, a jar of which the beekeeper saw on the counter in the supermarket, it was written there - "Lily of the valley honey".
As a rule, when bees collect nectar, especially in spring, they collect it from different flowering plants and, therefore, this honey is called mixed herbs, without an emphasis on any plant.
And the presence of lily-of-the-valley nectar is almost impossible to appear in the nectar blend of spring honey, since lily-of-the-valley blooms before the bees make their first flight after winter anabiosis.
This honey was very expensive and, probably, someone succumbed to the temptation to spend their money and taste honey from lily-of-the-valley nectar.
Lilies of the valley are beautiful flowers, no doubt, but honey from lily-of-the-valley nectar is just a marketing ploy of unscrupulous honey traders.
