It's not my fault!
It's not my fault!
It's not my fault! - this thought came to me in the capital's park, where I found myself after more than forty years of my absence there lol.
Yes, once, in winter, and winters in those days were very snowy, I went sledding down a very steep and long slope in this park.
The snowy path descended steeply and ran into a small area in the middle of which, on a pedestal, stood a monument to the poet Yesenin.
The snowy park, where few people go, may not be the most suitable place to immortalize the poet, but he was there.
And so, my sled accelerated so quickly that I could not stop it in time and it crashed into the pedestal of the monument.
Then I felt a sense of shame mixed with fear because I thought that the monument could fall from such a blow, but no, Yesenin continued to stand, if my memory serves me right, even the smoking pipe did not fall out of his hand.
But then, many years passed and, finding myself there, I saw an empty monument on which Yesenin was no longer... I hope that no one repeated my sleigh ride back in the eighties, and the winters have ceased to be so snowy lol.
