Benefit, although described in many explanatory dictionaries, can, as a rule, or in most cases, be a complete mystery.
Essentially, benefit is something people themselves have come up with, because when God created man, He didn't imagine that one day man would be forced to leave paradise and seek for himself something he could call "benefit."
Although God is all-seeing and knew man's future, being so merciful, He reserved the right to trust the first man more than he deserved.
Benefit is hidden from our eyes; thus, it's very difficult for someone to understand the benefit of the presence in this world of the mad cucumber you see in the photograph.
A bristling, inedible, poisonous fruit that cannot be chopped into a salad like a regular cucumber or pickled.
Salt, spices, and vinegar won't help you get to that point where the word "benefit" becomes absolutely clear.
